Find A Hunting Partner

Stevens Point area

Postby wisconsiknight » Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:01 am

I just separated from the Navy and moved here from Hawaii. I am trying to get into hunting, and hope to find someone who can show me the ropes.
I am right by UWSP, but I'm willing to drive.

Thanks

I moved this forum up on the board to give it more visibility. Way down there where it was at the bottom I don't think as many people scrolled down to check it out. Besides, this is where it should have been all along. A lot of people come here to introduce themselves and look for a hunting partner. I think we can promote that better up here at the top.

I can't help you out as a hunting partner Wisconsiknight but welcome to the forums and coyote hunting. Might I ask what is UWSP?
What you do in the dark will someday come to light.

I'm sure someone will jump soon. This time of year attendance on this site is usually light

Thanks, Fitter!
UWSP is University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. I think it is one of the smaller schools in the UW system.

Thanks for your service wish I could help you out but I don't hunt in the area anymore. Last time was back in the early 70's when I went to school there.
There will be more people on here this month so someone should be able to help out. I will be starting next Wednesday trying to fill a wolf tag :D

What's with the season site visits? Do people mostly hunt them during deer season?

not a good idea to hunt coyote during deer season. I think the daily season closes at the same time as deer, and I think some areas are closed during deer season to protect the wolves
