Site Upgrades Report Bugs

Postby Fitter » Fri Oct 28, 2011 12:31 am

Hey guys we were down for much longer than I had hoped with this security update but, that's the way it goes sometimes. Not too often server and board upgrades go off without a hitch.

Anyway I've been buzzing around looking for problems and think we have everything squared away. If you see something odd please report it here.

Fox Hunter brought a login problem to my attention which we have resolved. Thanks Fox Hunter! This has been a rocky update/upgrade combo.

Anything else so far?

I had a problem posting this morning, it kept logging me out and when I logged back in it took me back to the board index every time. It seems fine now. Hey fitter how do i post a trail cam video on here? I guess I'm jumping the gun because I have to figure out how to get it from my buddies lap top to my PC. I imagine I can have him e mail it to me then go from there.

Offhand I don't rightly know unless it's already been uploaded to YouTube. But, when you're ready, we will get it figured out.

As for getting logged out I saw that once also and will look into but I believe that's a forum code bug from the update. Hardly an update if it's kicking you back out.

Is there a button somewhere to mark post read so it will clear the list. I have to sort thru a long list before realizing I have already saw them

When I click "View unaswered posts" I see a long list of those topics that are not answered by anyone. That should be that way. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of posts with no answers. And that's what that option will show you.

When I click "View unread posts" I see your last two posts. This one included. So that's working alright for me also.

How about scroll down near the bottom of the page beneath all the topics of the index page. Right below the Help Forum are some options. On the left it says "Delete all board cookies | The team" and to the right of that says "Mark forums read." That should mark everything on the forum as if you already viewed it. That would seem to be what you're actually looking for.

I probably don't see this happen because I do look at every single post. But that last option should work just fine.
