Looking for mentor

Postby smits25u » Fri Dec 05, 2014 10:55 am

I would like to try coyote hunting, but have no clue where to start. I am looking for a mentor to show me the ropes and maybe someone to hunt with. I am in the Green Bay area. Thanks

I prefer mouth calls, many prefer ecalls. Check for travel routes(tracks). Keep the wind in your face.Try to stay in shadows, fence rows etc. When setting up, I like to have something to lean against, also hides my outline. I usually stay 15-30 mins. per stand. I use primarily distress calls of some sort. Bird, rabbit, chicken, cat.

Check out you tube, I heard there is some decent video on there that might help
