Welcome aboard Jay. I think everyone is starting to think about hunting yotes. It's beyond quiet through the summer.

Yeah that's normal for the spring and summer here. It will pick-up as the weather cools off. Most members are doing what they do in the off year.

I just wandered in from a 23 hour camping trip that included 75 miles of pedaling with 30 pounds of gear on the bike. Me ass - she is a killing me

I got home 10 minutes before it starting hailing and dumping water in buckets.

50 miles of that ride was backwoods. As in very few roads and even fewer homes. I saw 3 coyotes, 2 fox - one was huge, some turkeys, and a bunch of deer. 3 bucks, nothing that made me say holy shit.

Starting to see a lot more leaves falling now. It won't be long.

Sounds like a good trip none the less. Sore ass or no. I haven't been able to locate the time to get in the woods much. Wanted to help my buddies hang stands on their new lease but couldn't leave my three year old at home alone. they picked the worst days possible.
Now this weekend is the national modified pitch softball tourney. We have taken third the last three years and in the top 5 for the last 5. My last one though. Retiring is sweet yet sad. Young mans game now. Maybe I'll try Slow pitch.
But time to get all my gear out for bow hunting and give it the yearly run through. Make sure my pack is squared away. The old bow still hits groups according to my summer shooting regiment. But now Ill have to trade in some stand time for some studying of the coyotes.
Hope the posterior heals up.

Here's another dandy project for yall. I saw this on my trip as well. As you might have noticed, I stop to take photos of anything I find interesting. If I'm going to put in the work to get there I sure as hell plan to document it.
