Backyard Bobcat

Postby Fitter » Mon Feb 29, 2016 8:27 pm

Caught this dude prowling around my back yard.

Took these pics through the window then darted outside with the 22. I knew I'd never sneak out there to get a clean shot so I was hoping he would tree. No luck. Long gone and I popped off a few shots just to motivate him a little more.

There's not many animals I will shoot every time I see them but, this is one of them.

Not bad photos for through the window.

Thought I saw one crossing my driveway in the headlights last fall but it was too quick and far away to tell for sure.

A really dirty window at that.

I mentioned bobcat tracks in early February. In this post viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2221
Here's a pic from an hour ago. I was checking some survival shelters I built 2 weeks ago. Seeing how they held up to the snow. No problems. Saw a few yote tracks and possibly a bobcat. Was hard to tell.

Ironically I also posted a picture on that post as well.

In that picture you can see the dirty window where I snapped the pics of the bobcat. How's that for reference?

My windows are dirty too. Mostly dog nose prints from him watching the squirrels on the bird feeder.

Nice pics Fitter. They are very hard to get pics of.
I saved alot on my insurance just by switching into reverse and fleeing the scene of the accident.
