It was pretty warm this past weekend, but we had to try it anyway. It was too nice of a day to be doing chores around the house.
I think calling can be better on cold days in deep snow, but you have to take what you get.
Three of us made a few stands Sunday morning. On the second stand I called one in ... kinda. We were in a river bottom type area. I caught a glimpse of one coming down the hill a couple hundred yards out. With the thicker brush and a small dip between us, I lost sight of it and never saw it again. A couple other dry stands and maybe a quick nap in the sunshine rounded out the morning and we called it day.
This weather and lack of snow is making it hard. Anyone else figured out how to make it happen lately?
