Fawns on the ground

Postby practice-more » Tue Jun 05, 2018 2:04 pm

Let's hope this winter's predator control helped.

The last few days I've started to see a few fawns on the ground and they sure are cute!

Sunday night there was a little one about 40 yards behind the house. He would get up for a few minutes at a time and then bed back down. We watched him out the window for the better part of an hour.

Monday night I found one curled up against a fence-line while I was out checking livestock fences. I was probably 10 feet from him when I finally saw him so I just skirted around him, but not before snapping a photo.

My food plots have plenty of moisture, now I just need some sun and heat.

Nice. Keep an eye out for coyotes.
I saved alot on my insurance just by switching into reverse and fleeing the scene of the accident.

Trust me, I am. There is a shotgun, a pair of .223's and a 6mm Creedmoor ready to go.
Those guns cover 0-50 yards, 50-250 yards and "if I can see it, I can shoot it"

The problem is the grass in the meadows is getting tall and everything is green, they are had to see.

You are on it. Helping out a pheasant club. Put on night vision this year. Sighted in at 50 yards, 100 this weekend.

I'd like to play with some of the new thermal technology ... if my wife ever lets me have the checkbook back.

Nice pics! I haven't seen a fawn around here for a few years.
What you do in the dark will someday come to light.
